The Midterm Conference is a supportive and friendly event for PhD students at any stage of their research, especially first-year students, to present their work and meet others working in related fields. This interdisciplinary event is an excellent place to get feedback on your work, network, and practice your presentation skills whether you are a first-time presenter, or you are preparing for other conferences or PhD Viva.
The conference provides the opportunity to present your work in a paper or a poster format, it offers training workshops and includes keynote speeches from established geographers. Food and refreshments will be provided throughout the conference and a conference dinner will be held on the 30th April (Thursday evening).
Attendance for the conference costs £65. There will be opportunities for postgraduates to apply for bursaries to attend the conference. These are facilitated and provided by the RGS’s research groups. Information about these bursaries will be circulated on our website and twitter as they become available.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email or twitter. We look forward to welcoming you to Glasgow in 2020!
